Living Life, writing, and being the best version of myself.
- Did you always want to be an author? I knew I loved to write but I had no idea that I'd be a writer.
This is your first book, where'd you get the idea to write a story about girlfriends? Many of my ideas came from my girlfriends. I was reminded that no matter what happened in my life, I had my girlfriends on my side through the good, the bad, and the ugly. My girlfriends are my life line. When my step-dad passed away, they kept me sane even during the whole writing process of this novel. Although Three Ways to Love is a work of fiction, I believe every female can relate to it.
- Do you have a writing routine? Yes, I do. I just recently discovered that I write at my best between the hours of 10 pm to 1 am. I do not write every single day because I prefer to use those "off days" to focus on other things in my life. That way when I return to my work, I have a fresh new outlook.
- What advice would you give to aspiring authors? I would have to say do lots of research, rewrite, rewrite, and never stop writing!
- What do you do when you're not writing? I spend some of my down time catching up on my television shows. My husband and I also do a lot of traveling in our spare time which is where I get some of my ideas to write.
What's next? I am currently working on a new novel that my readers will definitely enjoy. Although Three Ways to Love is my baby, I had a great deal of fun with this next book.
Any thoughts for your readers? Thank you for reading my novel and taking the time to read this Q&A session. I hope this will help you to understand me as an author. Again, thank you for your support.
